How To Prepare For A Lucky Break Before It Lands

Do You Feel Lucky?

Winning has always felt like the only option. That’s been a mindset of mine forever. But sometimes I get a sense that something big is about to happen. Lately I have felt like I am on the cusp of something very lucky. On a day-to-day basis, people constantly comment on how lucky I am, and for the most part, good luck tends to find me. But recently I feel the energy of something big happening. A lucky break, a Powerball Jackpot, an unexpected windfall of wealth, a major offer, a collaboration, a great love or something not yet determined. Defining the exact form is not necessary. The point is to recognize the feeling of expansion before the evidence appears.

Luck can land anywhere, but it lands better when the runway is clear.

The Rover Was Already Real In My Mind

Years ago, I wanted a luxury SUV. I loved my current SUV, but every drive was a roll of the dice on whether I would make it back home again. One day I sat down, thought about my dream luxury SUV and designed every detail of it online. I then saw myself in the dealership: dripping in gold and diamonds, wearing shorts and heels, a full-length fur coat with big sunglasses as the dealership handed me a flute of champagne before putting me in my SUV. I wrote in my journal about this vehicle as if it was already in my garage. I imagined the freedom it brought and the adventures I would have. Months later, I was handed the keys to my Land Rover. None of it happened the way I imagined, but the result was better than what I dreamed up.

Manifestation Is Not Just Wanting Something

You can’t just wish things into existence. If that were true, I’m sure I would have had a stable of flying ponies at some point. Manifesting is about imagining a life in the present tense that you are in the process of creating. Preparing to receive it, even if you have no idea how it will happen. Your inner vision should create outer movement.

Clear The Runway Before The Landing

If I was waiting for all 6’5 of Jack Reacher to walk through my door, you better believe my home is immaculate, the fridge is stocked, and I have my sexiest heels on standby. I also don’t have a bevy of men texting WYD at 2am or randoms saying Hey HMU throughout the day. That is the point of clearing the runway. Your next-level thing should not have to fight its way through chaos to reach you.

Make Room For A Bigger Life

Clutter is everywhere. Undone chores. Tasks tugging at your brain when you should be focusing on enjoying your life. You can’t welcome an exciting gift into your life when there is no room for it. Act as if the doorbell is about to ring any minute now. It gives you a whole new perspective.

Build Capacity For The Win

Keep in mind, a huge win can be disruptive. In a good way. More money requires better decisions. Opportunities will vanish quickly if you’re not prepared for faster response times and have better time management. Squandering gifts because you weren’t prepared sends the wrong signal. Whether you mean to or not, inaction tells the universe the next level may need to wait.

Follow The Breadcrumbs

The big thing rarely announces itself as the big thing at first. It starts as an email, a conversation, a random referral, a random encounter, a yes to something small. Your job right now is to say yes more and dismiss less. Go where energy pulls you. Something that feels like a minor opportunity this week may be the thread that needs to be pulled to reveal the whole gift.

Act Like The Door Is Already Opening

I am the one who is doing. I will make the call. I will send the proposal. I will buy the shoes. I will book the trip. My passport is in my handbag. I’m ready. These actions will signal readiness to the world but, more importantly, will be a constant reminder to yourself that you have already prepared for this great moment. This is how you prepare for your lucky break that other people think just happens randomly.

The Future Needs Somewhere To Land

Have you ever been convinced that something would work out, even though statistically it seemed very unlikely? You just somehow knew it would be fine. Clearing your metaphorical runway is how to make luck a lifestyle instead of a random event.

I Am Ready Before I Know Why

Something amazing is happening. My nervous system knows it. I can feel the data stacking in my favor even though I don’t know what it is. My high-vibe expectation is picking up on something my conscious mind hasn’t fully articulated yet. I saw the bat signal, I’m wearing my outfit, I’m ready to go. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. Become the version of yourself who can receive fortune, hold it and be ready to grow with it.
